Superimpose

I am interested in superimposing several pieces of film over the top of each other for my Hope; Fear; Desire film.
I'm going to take my original idea of shooting a wide shot of somebody looking into the camera, and I will distort the image and light the shoot so that the colours represent the emotion that I am aiming to portray.

For hope I plan to superimpose footage of a lit candle.

I dont plan on superimposing anything with the footage for fear becuase I want to add effects to the image and disort the piece so that I looks as if it could be a Francis Bacon portrait.

For desire I have had an idea of superimposing money falling to represent a desire for wealth.
