I have started editing my footage that I gathered in London and the footage from the studio. I want the documentary to follow a narrative, this will include; beginning middle and end. Obviously the performances wont follow a narrative but the way in which the songs are linked together will. I want the first songs to be linked together with footage from the journey, as this was the beginning. I will then use footage from soundcheck and before the band went onstage, this will be classed as the middle, and the end will show the band performing their last song, which will then show them thanking the audience and saying goodnight.
The video below is an edit of a song that I am not going to be using in the documentary. The reason for this becuase I only want to use songs that were played in the studio and live, and this song was only played live, therefor meaning that the audio is not very good as it has come from the camera. Editing the footage though was very useful as it has given me ideas of how I can edit the final documentary, and it has also developed my skills to split the screen the footage. I found it difficult to sync up both pieces of footage as they were not the same. The reason for this is because I only used one camera, and I shot footage from soundcheck and the band playing live.
