- Long shot from the side of the stage with the whole band in shot.
- Long shot from the back of the venue with the crowd in shot. Option of pulling focus between the audience and the band.
- Variety of shots from the mini bus.
- Close up shots of the band doing things whilst in the mini bus, for example, rolling cigarettes, taping feet, drinking...
- Variety of shots during sound check. I will be able to get onstage during sound check so I will be able to experiment with close ups, for example, guitars, vocals, drums...
- Shot of the band walking from backstage to the stage.
- Shot of crowd.
- Profile shots from before the gig, showing the band getting hyped up showing pre-gig nerves.
- After the gig I could get a few voxpops from the audience to get their reaction from the performance.
- I feel that the slight movements of the camera will create a sense of atmosphere as it makes the audience of the documentary feel as if they are there, unlike static shots which I don't feel create the same effect. This will also show a contrast between the live and studio performance.
- Shots of the band setting up their equipment.
- Shots of the venue to establish where the band are playing, and to set the scene.
I can't say what the band are going to be doing so the shot ideas that I have got are just examples of things that I can look for, but the majority will probably be used for the documentary.
