More Colour Correction

Yesterday I was altering the colour balance so that it effected the brightness of my film.  I some areas the footage looked really dark and it was hard to make certain objects out, so I changed some of the settings so that it was more visible.

Today I have done some more work on chugging the colour balance, as I only altered the colour balance settings of the live footage, and none of the cutaway pieces, so I decided to alter some of the effects.

The image above is quite dark in comparison to the image below.  This is because I adjusted the colour balance settings again.  As the footage wasn't that dark compared to the footage from the live performance it didn't need editing as much.  I simply altered the mid tone red setting to 6.9, green to -5.5, and blue 5.5.  I copied the same effects levels from the live performance as I thought that this would keep it the same, but it made the footage look really bright, obviously because it was darker when the band were playing live.  So to change this so that it look aesthetically pleasing I adjusted the levels again.  As you can see the image below is a lot clearer and cleaner, which makes it easier to view.

Below are the different levels that I used to create the correct brightness and contrast levels that I wanted.

Again, the image below is a lot clearer than the image above because I changed the levels.
